Stomach Issues come to a Head
I woke up about an hour later and had to run to the bathroom.
Oofa, I was finally feeling the effects of the troubled tummy I’d had for the past week plus.
I passed a horrible night’s sleep, up and down, and in the morning I was soooooooo exhausted.
When I finally crawled upstairs to say good morning to Aurora and Ruben, I was practically in tears. They had been trying to get me to go to the doctor the whole time I’d been there, but never insisted. I finally confessed I needed to go.
Aurora was great–took me to Ruben’s brother, who gave me a thorough checkup, told me I had a very mild case of Monteczuma’s revenge.
A MILD CASE???
Now I really wanted to cry. I was SUCH a sissy!
Anyway, Doctor’s orders:
– No food for three days
– Stop Taking the overdose of antibiotics I was on courtesy of the Pharmacist in Cuautla
– Drink at least 1 liter of Gatorade every day
– Take these antidiarrheal pills
– Get a prescription for something I’ve now forgotten
– No dairy for two weeks
No food, no problem. I did not want any anyway!
I spent the rest of the day and night resting.
