It’s true. I’ve dropped off the face of the blogging sphere. I’ve been working back to back motorcycle events (BMW MOA in Billings, MT for Renedian Adventures and then the Sturgis Rally for BMW) and now I am gearing up to ride across the country. Like a lot of girlfriends I’ve fallen off the communication train when I’ve fallen in love, yet I’m not feeling too apologetic. I promised I’d only write when I have something to say and that’s why you should be subscribed by email so you don’t have to check my site for new posts. I can’t stand the inane blather on social media these days, so I still only write on my personal blog when I feelRead More →

Well, I’m looking at my calendar and starting next week I don’t have any empty spaces left in it! I’ve been re-grouping and re-focusing in Southern California. We moved residences at the end of February and that buggered me up for quite a while. Now I have a lovely new office in a lovely new home and I’ve been furiously pounding away at the keyboard for quite some months now. I’ve written a considerable amount of articles and have been spending al my free time working n my pet project the 2016 Sisters Centennial Motorcycle Ride. More about that later. (If there are any expert fundraisers or even planners that read my blog and you want to give me someRead More →

Last weekend for the holiday weekend we packed up the 4×4 after work on Thursday and headed out to the desert. We were trying to beat the crowds and it absolutely worked. We were the only ones driving 4×4 jeep trails through the desert at 10:30 at night trying to find the camp site we’d programmed into the GPS. Afte a night of gale force winds and rain in the morning, we packed up camp and ventured into town for breakfast. After a couple of yummy breakfast burritos we went out to see if we could find any dragons or serpents… …and we did!   Next we went chasing other fantastic creatures… …although I am not sure who was moreRead More →

It’s a funny thing for me being on the other end of the interview. Here’s an article about me written by Aaron Heinrich in Asphalt and Dirt: http://www.asphaltanddirt.com/2015/02/25/transformation-on-two-wheels/ Those that know me well know that he got a bunch of things right and a few things wrong…it’s sure interesting to see how someone else interprets your life. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the read.Read More →

Recently I was depositing a check and the Wells Fargo ATM automatic reader scanned my check with an extra $7,000,000++. Next the ATM asked me to accept the scanned amount. Honestly, I did hesitate a split second, maybe more than a split second, actually. But then the imp in me said, “why not see what happens?” And I let it go through! (I am a stand-up person and emailed the person that wrote the check to give them a heads-up!) It was an awesome bank balance for a day! That’s right, instant millionairess. It felt really, really good. For a day.   Thanks Wells Fargo for a day of dreams!Read More →

Well! I’ve sure been told I need to keep blogging…my mail was full this morning! Thank you everyone that left comments here on the blog as well as those of you who sent me private emails. I’m delighted to know that so many people value my writing and that it’s more than just my mother reading it. I am also really glad to hear from such a cross-section of motorcyclists and NON motorcyclists! I am glad I have touched people with a variety of interests. I’ll keep writing ans sharing, and perhaps even start asking for some help along the way. I DO have some really cool projects coming up… Thanks for staying tuned in and sharing life’s journey withRead More →

“To dream anything that you want to dream, that is the beauty of the human mind. To do anything that you want to do, that is the strength of the human will. To trust yourself, to test your limits, that is the courage to succeed.”   ~ Bernard Edmonds ~   This pretty much sums up my last three months of silence…I’ve been dreaming, doing and testing my limits. I’ve expanded my writing business considerably, I’ve been working for BMW at the International Motorcycle Shows, I’ve taken on working with Renedian Adventures (Motorcycle Safaris in Africa) helping them promote their tours in Southern Africa and I’m getting fit and confronting some long-standing habits that are due for a shakeup. I’ve alsoRead More →

And of course they are Edward’s because I am working on deadline this week. (Thanks for the picture share EW!) We found some cozy camp sites:   We also got caught up on our sleep. With nighttime temps sometimes below freezing, the warmest place was in the sleeping bag.Read More →
